Silverman Thompson Launches “Next Generation of Public Service Scholarship”

Silverman Thompson is proud to announce the launch of its newest scholarship program, the Next Generation of Public Service Scholarship. Created to support lower-income undergraduate students pursuing careers in public service, the scholarship reflects the values of our firm and foundations of many of our attorneys’ careers. Our team is comprised of former public defenders, state and federal prosecutors, judges, educators, social workers, military service members, and elected officials.

To qualify, applicants must be enrolled in maintain a minimum 3.5 GPA and demonstrate a clear financial need, with a household income of $75,000 or less. As part of the application, students must submit a 500-word essay describing their goals after graduation and explaining how the scholarship will support their career aspirations. Scholarship funds can be used toward a range of college expenses, including class materials, room and board, and tuition.
